چکیده

Abstract. Recent data on the role of digestive pathology in progression chronic kidney disease (CKD) remain scarce. Calcium homeostasis plays an important renal pathology, especially patients with malabsorption syndrome (MAS).
The research aimed to evaluate calcium CKD MAS.
Methods. In this cross-sectional observational study, 99 MAS were enrolled. divided into 4 groups according stage and presence MAS. Group I included 25 stages 1 2 without MAS; II consisted 26 2, ІІІ (n = 23) ІV 25) 3 MAS, respectively. According morphological study vivo biopsies small intestinal mucosa, mild moderate changes observed among all patients. levels calcium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, osteocalcin, calcitonin blood, as well urinary levels, detected.
Results. Pathological metabolism severity disorders was more evident compared 2. Urinary reduced Groups III IV. No detected phosphorus levels. Changes hormone osteocalcin are caused primarily by combined impaired absorption.
Conclusion. leads deep violations resulting rapid bone tissue violation.

P2Y2 receptor deficiency aggravates chronic kidney disease progression

Purinergic signaling is involved in a variety of physiological states. P2 receptors are mainly activated by adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Activation of specific P2Y receptor subtypes might influence progression of kidney disease. To investigate the in vivo effect of a particular P2 receptor subtype on chronic kidney disease progression, subtotal nephrectomy was performed on wild type (WT) and P...

Kidney and Calcium Homeostasis

Plasma calcium concentration is maintained within a narrow range (8.5-10.5 mg/dL) by the coordinated action of parathyroid hormone (PTH), 1,25(OH)2D3, calcitonin, and ionized calcium (iCa(2+)) itself. The kidney plays a key role in this process by the fine regulation of calcium excretion. More than 95% of filtered calcium is reabsorbed along the renal tubules. In the proximal tubules, 60% of fi...

Calcium Balance in Chronic Kidney Disease

PURPOSE OF REVIEW The kidneys play a critical role in the balance between the internal milieu and external environment. Kidney failure is known to disrupt a number of homeostatic mechanisms that control serum calcium and normal bone metabolism. However, our understanding of calcium balance throughout the stages of chronic kidney disease is limited and the concept of balance itself, especially w...
